Having fallen in love with the abandoned property with stunning views of the Pacific Ocean, Mazatlan native, Conchita Valades, decided to take on the challenge to restore the property and convert it to a charming boutique hotel. After two years of hard work and tireless efforts to revive the property to its original glory, Casa Lucila Hotel Boutique opened her doors on October 13, 2007.

The property emerged with new vigor and life as a full-service hotel, steps from the beach and the thriving Historic Center in downtown Mazatlan.

In honor of her mother, Lucila Valdez de Valades, Conchita affectionately named the hotel after her. Lucila had thirteen children, eight of whom were girls; so each of the eight rooms of the hotel is fittingly named after one of Lucila's daughters.

Casa Lucila Hotel Boutique is a design hotel located in Mazatlan, within walking distance from the historic quarter. It features an infinity pool, spa, bike rentals and on-site restaurant.

Each of the air-conditioned rooms at the Casa Lucila feature elegant minimalist décor, and come with a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi and a private bathroom with bathrobes, slippers and toiletries.

Lucila's Restaurant serves traditional Mexican cuisine and is located on the ground floor.

The spa provides a range of treatments and massages, such as aromatherapy or Shiatsu.

This boutique hotel is 250 metres from the Archaeological Museum of Mazatlan and the Modern Art Museum. The airport is 40 minutes’ drive away.
